Capital investments in 2023 reach KZT 1,6 trillion, mayor Kassymbek

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Astana mayor Zhenis Kassymbek who reported on the city's socioeconomic and infrastructure development, Kazinform News Agency cites the Akorda press service.

He added capital investments in 2023 reached 1,6 trillion tenge. the projects developed in the processing sector, education, healthcare, logistics, transport, and other areas generated 1,800 jobs. Almost 6,000 people found jobs as part of the JOLTAP project. Over 12,000 people will be provided with employment support measures this year. A total of 58,000 workplaces will be created in 2024.

The mayor said thanks to the new gas-fired heating station Yugo-Vostok, the first stage of the Turan gas-fired heating station and the first phase of the HPP -3 the heating season this year runs a heating surplus. The capacity of new heating stations makes 1,140 Gcal/h.

Following the meeting the Head of State gave the mayor tasks on further city development.
