Care International condemns killing Afghan civilians by troops

KABUL. April 11. KAZINFORM Care International, international aid agency serving in Afghanistan, has strongly condemned the killing of five civilians by the U.S.-led Coalition forces in Khost province east of Afghanistan, a press release of the agency received Saturday said, Kazinform refers ot Xinhua.

"CARE strongly condemns the action and demands that international military forces operating in Afghanistan are held accountable for their actions and avoid all attacks on innocent civilians in the country," the press release added. On Wednesday night, the press release added, the "international military forces killed a family of five in the Afghan province of Khost." "One of the victims was a female teacher working in a CARE supported school," it said. According to CARE sources, the teacher was killed together with four other members of her family, amongst them two children and one of them a student in her class, the press release further said. Meanwhile, the U.S.-led Coalition forces in a statement on Thursday confirmed the error for killing two males, two female and wounding two more females and offered condolences to the victims' family, Kazinform cites Xinhua.
