Cars and apartments gifted to Kazakh swimmer Nurdaulet Zhumagali and his coach

The champion of the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris, Nurdaulet Zhumagali and his coach, have been gifted with keys to apartments and vehicles in Taraz, Kazinform News Agency reports.

A solemn honoring ceremony was held at the Taraz-Arena sports complex. The event was attended by akim of the Zhambyl region, Yerbol Karashukeyev, who extended his congratulations to the Kazakh swimmer on the remarkable victory and expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of Zhambyl.

“You demonstrated the country's prowess and reaffirmed the confidence of the Kazakh people in the severe bout, which was broadcasted to the whole world.

You gave a special honor to the people of Zhambyl, all compatriots are proud of you! In the most significant international sporting event, you demonstrated a strong will and persistence, showcasing the character of a real man and setting a new record. You are the real hero!” Yerbol Karashukeyev said.

Nurdaulet Zhumagali was gifted with a two-room apartment and keys to a brand new Toyota Camry-75 vehicle. His personal coach, Sattar Beisembayev, was honored and given the keys to a Haval M6 car.

“Your support and kind words contributed to my victory. Thanks to everyone who cheered for me! In the future I will do my best to raise the Flag of Kazakhstan even higher and justify the trust of the fans,” - Nurdaulet Zhumagali stated.

The personal trainer of the Olympic champion, Sattar Beisembayev, also spoke at the solemn event.

It bears to remind that Nurdaulet Zhumagali of Kazakhstan claimed the Men's 100m Breaststroke SB13 silver. He won the bronze medal at the competition.

44 athletes defended the country’s colors in nine sports at the Summer Paralympic Games 2024 in France which is also a new record.
