Caspian countries to form news agencies’ alliance
A meeting between news agencies’ representatives of Caspian countries was held in Moscow on September 15, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the following news agencies: Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC), Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), TV and Radio Complex of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, TASS Russian News Agency, (Russian Federation), and Turkmenistan State News Agency (TDH).
Recognizing the value of enhancing multilateral information collaboration between the leading Caspian media outlets, the participants came to the conclusion about expediency of creation of the Caspian states’ information agency alliance.
The participants concurred on the necessity of convening consultations pertaining to the formulation of the Alliance's regulatory framework, the scheduling and venue of the forthcoming meeting, and the establishment of a format for the Alliance's information-sharing operations.
