Caspian Sea status regulation - strategically key issue for Kazakhstan, FM
TANA. November 22. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ "Regulation of the Caspian Sea status and establishment of the legal regime of international, political, economic and cultural cooperation remain a strategically key issue for Kazakhstan," Kazakh Foreign Affairs Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov told opening the 30th session of the special working group for developing the Convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea.
Besides, the FM noted that the Caspian Sea problem touches upon, first of all, the territorial issues the settlement of which will expand prospects for the mutual benefit cooperation of the Caspian littoral states in the most important sectors of economy.
"We all strive to elaborate efficient mechanisms for the protection of national interest and our common goal is to ensure consistency and efficiency of the chosen strategies," Kazykhanov stressed.
