CCS media briefing held in Astana

ASTANA. February 4. KAZINFORM The Central Communications Service for the President of Kazakhstan held a weekly briefing in Astana today. Official Spokesperson of the CCS announced a number of the most important events scheduled for this week in the country.

Thus, according to A.Abibullayev, on February 5-7, on the instruction of the President, Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan - Head of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions Kairat Mami will visit Vatican. The visit will be held within the framework of celebration of the 10th anniversary of establishment of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. An audience with Pope Benedict XVI and meetings with the top officials of Vatican are to be held within the visit.

The Ministry of Agriculture will hold an enlarged session of the board chaired by Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov today.

On February 5, Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov will chair a session of the Government, where the issues regarding development of renewable energy sources having special importance in light of implementation of programs on transition to the green economy, industrial-innovative development of Kazakhstan and staging the international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana will be considered.

On February 7, Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov will attend an enlarged session of "Samruk-Kazyna" National Welfare Fund JSC. The session participants will sum up the results of 2013 and define the goals of the Fund for 2013.

On February 8, the Head of Government will attend sessions of the board of the ministry of Economy and budget Planning and the Ministry of Finance.

Serik Akhmetov will hold a number of meetings and session focused on the issues of socio-economic development of Kazakhstan this week.

On February 6, First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Minister of Regional Development Bakytzhan Sagintayev will pay a working visit to Zhambyl and South Kazakhstan regions to survey the recovery efforts in the storm hit area.

On February 6, Deputy Prime Minister, minister of industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev will participate in a presentation dedicated to the issues of private sector development with the participation of the UNDP representatives.

Deputy Premier Yerbol Orynbayev will attend the sessions of the board of the Statistics Agency and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of Kazakhstan this week.

Besides, A.Abibullayev announced a number of events that would be organized by Nur Otan Party, Foreign Ministry and the other important events of the week.
