CEC accredited international election observers from CIS and other countries
ASTANA. March 11. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ Today the Central Election Commission (CEC) has accredited 15 observers from the CIS to monitor the extraordinary presidential elections in Kazakhstan.
"Today the Central Election Commission has accredited 15 observers from the CIS to monitor the early presidential elections in Kazakhstan. It is one of the large observer missions from international organizations which will monitor the election process in our country," CEC Chairman Kuandyk Turgankulov said at a briefing.
"Today we have also accredited 2 observers from the People's Republic of Hungary, 2 - from the Republic of Lithuania and 2 - from Ukraine. As you know, earlier we accredited observers of the ODIHR/OSCE mission who actively started their work in all regions of the country," he added.
CEC member Tatyana Okhlopkova noted that at present the number of international observers amounts to 95.
