The two-day Global Gateway Investors Forum for EU-Central Asia Transport Connectivity ended in Brussels with Vice President of the European Commission Margaritis Schinas addressing participants at the closing ceremony, Kazinform News Agency reports.

In an exclusive commentary for Kazinform News Agency, he said the investment forum was meant to create an idea into a tangible reality.

The idea is to promote connectivity between the five countries of Central Asia and the European Union. All these great ideas need studies, need investment, and need money. So this is the purpose of the meeting is to bring together governments, investors, international financial institutions, our partners from Central Asia. We are delighted that we have so high participation. This is very promising, he said.

He highlighted that Central Asia is emerging now as a region of stability, of security, of growth, in a very unstable geopolitical context.

Kazakhstan has the advantage of being the biggest country of the five, a growing economy, with lots of prospects, he stressed.
