Chairman of Kazakh Central Election Commission meets with OSCE/ODDIHR Director
ASTANA. April 29. KAZINFORM. /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Chairman of the Central Election Commission Kuandyk Turgankulov has met with OSCE/ODIHR Director Janez Lenarcic.

K. Turgankulov noted that the Kazakh side studies all recommendations of the OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights made upon the results of monitoring elections in Kazakhstan and takes into account recommendations appropriate for our society while working over upgrading the laws on elections.
?In recent years we have sent 83 observers to 18 OSCE member states. The Central Election Commission will continue this work further?, K. Turgankulov said.
J. Lenarcic expressed satisfaction with the practice of cooperation within the framework of work on improvement of Kazakhstan?s electoral legislation. He offered to hold a meeting of the OSCE/ODIHR representatives with members of Kazakhstan Central Election Commission and Justice Ministry in the light of oncoming Kazakhstan?s chairmanship in the OSCE.
K. Turgankulov backed the proposal. He noted that the meeting could be held at the level of experts.
