Chairman of Senate meets with UN HCR regional representative

ASTANA. January, 29. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Chairman of the Senate Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev met with Regional Representative of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Kazakhstan Cesar Dubon, Kazinform correspondent reports.

C. Dubon informed of his intention to meet with the reps of Kazakhstan?s governmental bodies including the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Minister of Foreign Affairs to discuss some issues on the development of the draft law ?On Refugees?. He noted that UN HCR highly estimates the efforts of Kazakhstan on introduction of the international standards to the national legislation and assured that UN HCR will be ready for discussions and consultations on the draft law next month. The Chairman of the Senate also informed C. Dubon that all proposals of the UN HCR on this draft law are taken into account.
