Chairman of Senate of Kazakh Parliament met with Austrian President in Vienna

ASTANA. February 21. KAZINFORM Chairman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev has held negotiations with President of the Republic of Austria Heinz Fischer in Vienna today, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Senate.

The interlocutors shared opinions on the prospects of Kazakh-Austrian relations, including intergovernmental cooperation. K.Tokayev expressed best wishes and extended an invitation of Kazakh President N.Nazarbayev to visit our country with an official visit. H.Fischer expressed satisfaction with bilateral cooperation between the countries, characterized by significant expansion of trade-economic contacts. The Head of Austria was interested in ?Path to Europe? State Program and confirmed his intention to pay official visit to Kazakhstan. The issues of development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the sphere of energy and transport were discussed as well. The sides expressed interest in the realization of high-tech projects in Kazakhstan.
