Chief Accountant of Aktau University steals $4 million

AKTAU. KAZINFORM - Department of Financial Police of Mangistau region has opened a criminal case against the chief accountant of the State Enterprise "Shakhmardan Yessenov Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering"and other persons suspected of embezzlement on a large scale.

As reported by the press officer of the Department Nurgul Mukatay, in the period from 2011 to 2013 the chief accountant of the university, conspired with the subordinates, engaged in embezzlement of the University's funds on a large scale.

It was found out that the law-breakers forged bank account statements, registers and other documents, causing material damage in the amount of more than USD 4 million.
