Chief of Jewish Organizations: we anticipate new horizons from Kazakhstan People' s Assembly

ALMATY. October 16. KAZINFORM. /Yekaterina Ionova/ On the threshold of the XV jubilee session of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan scheduled on October 26 in Astana,  national cultural centers are sharing with their expectations.

"We anticipate the same what every member of the Assembly is expecting from the 15th session - something new, interesting, some new horizons", Head of the Association of Jewish National Organizations of Kazakhstan "Mitsva", Chairman of the Assembly's Youth Commission Alexander Baron said.

According to him, it would be interesting to tell about the achievements of his Association and learn about the activity of other ethnic cultural centers. "We are going to fulfill all commissions of the Head of the State - develop tolerance, build a multinational society and go our own way", Mr. Baron noted.

"Mitsva" Association was founded in 1992. The Association is a voluntary union of Jewish Organization of Kazakhstan. "Mitsva" is a coordinator of the organizations' activity in free and comprehensive development of Jews as an ethnos. Basic directions of the Association's activity: making possible for the Jews who live in Kazakhstan to understand national, religious and cultural consciousness; organization of cultural and educational events; revival of national customs, traditions and popular crafts of Jewish people and etc.
