Child suspected of meningitis rushed to Astana hospital

ASTANA. KAZINFORM A boy, aged 3, was admitted to hospital of Astana city on May 29 following a provisional diagnosis of meningococcal infection, the healthcare department said. 

The final diagnosis will be made upon completion of bacteriologic and serologic examinations.

The epidemiological situation in Astana remains stable. No meningitis cases in children were reported up to now, the press release reads.
