China concerned over Korean peninsula situation

BEIJING. November 24. KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimenov/ The People's Republic of China is concerned over the situation on the Korean peninsula, Official Spokesperson of the Chinese MFA Hong Lei said it at a regular press conference in Beijing yesterday.

As the Chinese diplomat informed, the situation needs to be confirmed. China urges the corresponding sides to act for the good of peace and stability on the Korean peninsula.

"China expresses concern over this incident", he added.

As is known, Enphendo Island located to the west from the Republic of Korea was bombed by the DPRK. South Korean Army returned fire immediately. Official Pyongyang has not made any statements on this matter.
