China Development Bank to give $700 mln loan to KazTransGas

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The KazTransGas JSC has attracted a loan of $700 million to complete the construction of gas pipeline of Beyneu-Bozoi-Shymkent, according to AKIpress.

The construction of the pipeline was divided into two stages. The first phase covered 2011-2014, the second phase - 2014-2015. Beijing hosted a signing ceremony of the agreement on attraction of the loan of $700 million for the second phase of construction. The loan will be given by the China Development Bank for 15 years.

The KazTransGas plans to direct loans for the construction of the linear portion of the Beyneu-Bozoi with the total length of 311 km and for the construction of the Karaozek compressor station in Kyzylorda region. Completion of construction of these facilities will increase the capacity of the pipeline up to 10 billion cubic meters annually.
