China expressed regret over military strike against Libya - Chinese MFA
BEIJING. March 21. KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimenov/ China expressed regret over the military actions launched by several countries against Libya, Official Spokesperson of the Chinese MFA Jiang Yu said.
"The Chinese side took the situation in Libya into consideration and expressed regret over the military strikes against this country", the Chinese Diplomat noted.
"China has always been against the use of force in international relations and stands for observance of basic principles and goals of the UN Charter and universally recognized norms of international law, respect for sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity of Libya", she added.
"We hope for early restoration of stability in Libya in order to avoid the escalation of the armed conflict which may lead to death of civilians", Jiang Yu stressed.
