China hopes to sign agreements with Kazakhstan: Wen Jiabao

BEIJING. March 13. KAZINFORM /Talgat Baimukhambetov/ Today during the press conference in Beijing held after the closing ceremony of the second session of China?s National People?s Congress Premier Wen Jiabao touched upon the subject of cooperation within the SCO.

The Head of the Chinese Government expressed hope that the SCO member countries, would overcome all the challenges due to the geographic vicinity and mutually complementing economies. He reminded of the partnership agreements in petroleum and financial spheres entered into with Russia and the protocols on cooperation in financial, energy, resources development co-signed with Kazakhstan . ?We hope to sign agreements with Kazakhstan this year?, the Chinese Premier said. Wen Jiabao appealed to stimulate cooperation between the Organization member countries in order to jointly overcome the international financial crisis. Some members countries are rich with resources and energy, and others have advanced level of science and technologies, he said. At the same time some countries fall behind in economic development compared to other countries. According to Wen Jiabao, there are opportunities to expand cooperation with the SCO in the spheres of energy, resources management, transport, agriculture and high-tech.
