China initiates building a new security concept in Asia, FM

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "China plans to put forward an initiative on forming the new security concept in Asia at the CICA Summit which will be held this May in Shanghai," Foreign Affairs Minister Wang YI said.

"As for the CICA Summit ahead, we want to come forward with an initiative on common security based on cooperation and integrated safety and security for the purpose of generating the new security concept in Asia to jointly build peace, stability and cooperation in new Asia," he told the Beijing press conference within the regular session of the National People's Congress. "This year we will be hosting two big international summits in Shanghai and Beijing. We will hold the CICA Summit in Shanghai that is an important platform for security cooperation in Asia, Wang Yi added.
