China’s YTO Express Co. enters Kazakh market

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who is paying an official visit to Beijing, has met with Hui Jiao Yu, Chairman of YTO Express Co., Ltd. The sides discussed the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in e-commerce, transport and logistics, Kazinform News Agency reports via the Akorda.

According to Tokayev, Kazakhstan plans to raise the share of e-commerce to 20% of the total trade market. He noted that large marketplaces like Alibaba, Wildberries, OZON and JDcom have already been operating in our country.

Hui Jiao Yu said his company intends to enter Kazakhstani market and open its Central Asian headquarters here.

“We have huge opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation with your company under One Belt, One Road initiative. E-commerce is one of quickly developing sectors of economy which generates about 7 trillion dollars of the global GDP. Kazakhstan attaches special attention to the e-commerce development,” said Tokayev.

According to Hui Jiao Yu, construction of high-technological A class multimodal centers in several regions will be his company’s key project in Kazakhstan. This infrastructure will let ensure operational processing of the goods to be sent to the EU, EAEU and Central Asia. The implementation of intellectual IT solutions will let fully automate the logistics processes and ensure customs support of goods supply.
