Chinese companies interested in Kazakhstan’s transport infrastructure development projects

On Wednesday, December 6, vice minister of transport Lastayev met with the representatives of large Chinese companies, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The meeting discussed the participation of China Railway Group Ltd and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation in the implementation of railway projects, reconstruction of highways and port infrastructure.

China Railway Group expressed interest in the projects of modernization of the existing railroad lines and construction of new ones.

As for China Shipbuilding Industry, the representatives of the company said they were interested in construction of a container hub in Aktau and Kuryk ports.

In turn, Talgat Lastayev provideв detailed information about the abovementioned projects to the Chinese side.

Following the meeting, the sides highlighted the importance of further development of cooperation.
