Chinese Embassy simplifies procedure for issuing visas for Kyrgyzstanis
As a result of negotiations held with the Chinese side, the procedure for issuing visas of the People's Republic of China is simplified for citizens of Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said, Kabar reports.
The Chinese Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic, starting December 17, 2023, will cancel the requirement for mandatory preliminary electronic registration for submitting documents for a visa. The Consular Section of the Embassy will accept Chinese visa applicants on a first-come, first-served basis during established reception days and hours.
The requirement to submit an invitation from the Chinese side with a special bar code for obtaining Chinese visas for businessmen and entrepreneurs, as well as citizens of Kyrgyzstan traveling to China for the purpose of a business trip, participation in cultural, scientific, and educational events, is also canceled. Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic can apply for a Chinese visa of the appropriate category if they have an invitation, as well as a petition/appeal from authorized government bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic.
At the same time, the Ministry reminds that from November 7 of this year, consular legalization of Kyrgyz documents intended for use in the territory of China with an apostille, is no longer required.
The Ministry positively notes the readiness of the Chinese side to gradually ease the conditions for the entry of citizens of Kyrgyzstan into China.
