CICA Senior Officials Committee to hold session in Delhi

ASTANA. February 16. KAZINFORM /Bauyrzhan Mukanov/ ?The Committee of Senior Officials of member states of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia will discuss a wide range of issues in Delhi?, official representative of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Yerzhan Ashikbayev has said today at a briefing in Astana, Kazinform reports.

?Regular session of the committee of senior officials of the CICA states, chaired by Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Nurlan Yermekbayev, will be held in Delhi on February 20, 2009?, Y.Ashikbayev said. Issues of realization of confidence-building measures of the Conference in economic, environmental, humanitarian, military-political spheres and in the sphere of new challenges and threats, issues of holding the Conference of regional and sub-regional organizations and forums in 2009 and Joint CICA-OSCE Forum in 2010 will be discussed at the meeting. Besides, a meeting of ad hoc group at expert level will be held prior to the session of the committee.
