CIS defense ministers to talk military cooperation in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE. November 10. KAZINFORM The council of the defense ministers from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), a free association of post-Soviet countries, will meet in Dushanbe on Tuesday, the Tajik Defense Ministry said.

Chief ministry spokesman Faridun Makhmadaliyev said the 57th meeting in the Tajik capital will involve delegations from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine.

He said the council will discuss a concept of military cooperation between the CIS member states up to 2015, approve the 2010 agenda as well as key directions to develop a united air defense up to 2015.
