CIS draft agreement on pipeline transit in development

The draft agreement has been prepared by the Armenian side in elaboration of the CIS Free Trade Zone Treaty of 18 October 2011. Mr Artak Vardanyan, Plenipotentiary Representative of Armenia in the Economic Affairs Commission under the CIS Economic Council, presided over the session. Representatives of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, and the CIS Executive Committee were present at the session, BelTA informs.
They discussed remarks and proposals voiced by relevant government agencies of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, and Ukraine after having read the draft agreement. The importance of developing the document for the sake of ensuring long-term reliable transit of energy resources was underlined.
The polished document will be forwarded for further adjustment and agreement to the CIS states.
The next session of the working group of experts is supposed to be held in February 2013, said the Head of the Press Service of the CIS Executive Committee.
