CIS heads of government to meet in Moscow on December 18

An extraordinary meeting of the CIS heads of government is set to take place in Moscow on 18 December, CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev told the media on 30 November, BelTA has learned.

“The meeting of the CIS heads of government will be an extraordinary one at the initiative of the Russian Federation. It is expected to be held in Moscow on 18 December on the initiative of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The prime ministers of the CIS countries will gather to exchange their assessments of the CIS activities at the end of the year, to discuss topical issues,” Sergei Lebedev said.

The CIS Executive Committee in Minsk is hosting a regular meeting of the CIS Plenipotentiaries Council on 30 November. The plenipotentiaries are set to discuss the activities of the Council of Heads of Migration Authorities and the Council of Heads of Financial Intelligence Units. The CIS plenipotentiaries will also assess the results of the work of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification.
