CIS Heads of States informal meeting to be held in Almaty on Dec 19-20

ASTANA. December 14. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ An informal meeting of the CIS Heads of States is to be held in Almaty on December 19-20. Kazakh MFA's Press Secretary Ilyas Omarov has announced it at the briefing on Monday.

According to him, the sides will discuss topical issues of regional interaction and countering challenges and threats of the modernity, and the course of economic cooperation, including the process of the Customs Union formation within the framework of the EurAsEC.

"Within the framework of the summit a report on formation of the common economic space of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia will be listened", I.Omarov said.

Besides, the heads of states will exchange opinions on a wide range of issues connected with ensuring economic, humanitarian and political security in the region, on the threshold of the 10th anniversary of the EurAsEC and Kazakhstan's chairmanship in this community and OSCE in 2010.
