CIS not resolved frozen conflicts but helped in sectors of economy, closely interrelated in Soviet Union: N.Nazarbayev

ASTANA. March 10. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ ?The CIS didn?t resolve frozen conflicts but had helped in those sectors of economy that were closely interrelated in the Soviet Union?, Kazakh President N.Nazarbayev has noted today at the session of the Eurasian Association of Universities.

?Unfortunately, during these years the CIS didn?t solve the problems within the organization?, the President noted, bearing in mind the Caucasian conflict, Transdniestria, frozen conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia. But alongside with it the issues of migration policy, common transport policy and energy were solved within the organization. N.Nazarbayev noted that every year the CIS will discuss one common problem, concerning everyone. ?The EurAsEC implements it more specifically?, the Head of the State noted.
