CIS parliamentarians to discuss integration processes

ASTANA. May 14. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan's parliamentary delegation will participate in the events organized by the CIS member countries Interparliamentary Assembly in Saint Petersburg on May 16-18, 2012.

Majilis Speaker Nurlan Nigmatulin is to head the delegation, press services of the Lower Chamber reports.

The parliamentarians are expected to take part in the sessions of the EurAsEC Interparliamentary Assembly Bureau, the 37th plenary session of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, and the 5th plenary session of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. In addition, heads of parliaments of single economic space member countries are expected to have a meeting.

Nurlan Nigmatulin plans to meet with Chairman of the State Duma Sergey Naryshkin (Russia), Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko (Belarus), and Chairman of the Zhogorku Kenesh Assylbek Zheenbekov (Kyrgyzstan).

The sides are to discuss the development of integration processes, initiated by President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, and the role of parliaments in future harmonization and rapprochement of national legislation.
