CIS promotes integration in extended education for adults
The draft document will be discussed at the session of the expert group in the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk on 18-19 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The draft agreement envisages advancement of direct ties and sharing expertise between the education institutions which offer additional programs in professional training of pedagogues. CIS governments are eager to facilitate setting quotas on advanced training of pedagogues, organizing refresher courses for teachers of vocational schools.
Each signatory to the agreement will guarantee equal rights to advanced training opportunities for the citizens of the other CIS member states who permanently reside on its territory.
"The document aims to create mechanisms of cooperation between countries in joint projects and programs in the industry, invigorate integration processes in the extended education for adults," the press release of the press service reads. In line with the document, CIS countries will step up efforts to improve the legal framework and control over the quality of education services.
The draft agreement was already discussed by experts in Minsk in September 2012. Taking part in the session were representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan (as an observer), and the CIS Executive Committee. They finalized the document taking into consideration remarks and recommendations of the member states, BelTA informs.
After passing harmonization procedures, the draft agreement will be submitted to the CIS Council of the Heads of Government.
