Citizens of Kazakhstan recommended to avoid trips to Bangkok - MFA
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Citizens of Kazakhstan currently staying in Thailand have not asked the Kazakh diplomatic mission for help, Kazinform correspondent was told by the second secretary of the Kazakh Embassy in Thailand Mr. Yerlan Zhetybayev.
"Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who are currently staying in Thailand have not sought assistance of the Embassy in connection with a blast in Bangkok. The Embassy of Kazakhstan in the capital city of Thailand - Bangkok provides all consular services and continues to function as normal. We monitor the situation in the country and highly recommend citizens of Kazakhstan to avoid trips to Bangkok," Mr. Zhetybayev added.
According to the Thai Foreign Ministry and the Kazakh Embassy posted in Bangkok, there are no Kazakh citizens among victims of the recent explosion in Thailand's political hub.
As reported earlier, 3 people died, including a baby, and more than 10 were injured as a result of the blast in Bangkok on February 23.
