ASTANA. September 20. KAZINFORM The cleanup efforts following a Russian space rocket crash in July 2013 at Baikonur space complex are coming to a close.

Governor of the Kyzylorda region Krymbek Kusherbayev confirmed at the briefing of the Central Communications Service on Friday.
"We have talked to Russian experts and they confirmed the report: the fourth stage of the detoxication operation is complete. The cleanup operation has been done within the fixed timeframe approved at the last session of the special commission headed by Kazakh Environment Minister Nurlan Kapparov to monitor the case. So far the situation in the area where the rocket plunged does not raise any concerns. However, we will keep watch over," the governor noted.
As reported earlier, Minister Kapparov reported about the fourth stage of cleanup efforts at the site of the Russian space rocket crash in early September.
