Climate, crisis, WTO entry to be on agenda at Russia-EU summit

STOCKHOLM. November 13. KAZINFORM Climate problems, the economic crisis and Russia's WTO entry will be in the focus of attention at the Russia-EU summit on November 18; Kazinform refers to ITAR-TASS.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana and Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt will take part in the summit.

A statement of Sweden, which currently chairs the European Union, said one of summit priorities would be an appeal to Russia to produce plans on the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions ahead of the U.N. conference on climate protection, due in Copenhagen in December; Kazinform cites ITAR-TASS.
