Collection of Kazakh tales in Czech language presented in Prague

A collection of Kazakh folk tales in the Czech language was presented in Prague. The event was attended by the representatives of the ministries of culture and education of the Czech Republic, academic and cultural communities, Kazakh diaspora, students as well as children – pupils of a local elementary school, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The book entitled as “The Tales of the Kazakh Steppe” includes popular tales about Er Tostik, Aldar Kose, Zhalmauyz-Kempir, which hold a special place in the Kazakh folklore.

The illustrations were created by young Kazakh artist Anelia Bekbas, graduate of the Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts and the College of Art in Bechyně, the press service of the Kazakh Embassy in Prague says.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Czechia Bakyt Dyussenbayev noted the importance of this project in strengthening the cultural ties between the two countries. He also emphasized that the tales passed down through generations educate children, develop their imagination and inspire future generations of storytellers and artists.

The Diplomat expressed confidence that the project will contribute to the rapprochеment of the Kazakh and Czech peoples and strengthening their friendship.
