Competitiveness is main factor of success – Head of State

ALMATY. November 15. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ The main goal of your university is to bring culture to the people, increase its role in the society and train managers. Culture should be in-demand in the society. Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev has said it surveying the Kazakh National Conservatoire named after Kurmangazy in Almaty.

The Conservatoire students presented a small concert.

"The Kurmangazy Conservatoire is the oldest source of manpower for the national culture. Over the years of its existence the university has trained over 8,000 specialists and best representatives of the national culture and art. Culture and spirituality are a foundation of a strong state. Today 50 theatres and 64 museums are functioning in the country. Great work has been done within the framework of Madeni mura (Cultural Heritage) program", N.Nazarbayev said.

He reminded that the main factor of success in the modern world is competitiveness of human resources. According to the Head of State, national music should not be archaic and ancient, it should renew, have new understanding and interpretation. "Today we saw masterly performance of dombra players. But we should not forget about significance of the classical music", the President noted.

According to Rector Zhaniya Aubakirova, nowadays the Conservatoire is a higher educational establishment which has modern material basis and strong foreign partners.
