Concert of Kazakh and Greek music held in Astana

sp; ASTANA. November 19. KAZINFORM. /Serik Sabekov/ "Kazakh and Greek music complement each other", Greek Ambassador Evangelos Denaksas said during the concert of Greek and Kazakh music in the Astana President's Cultural Center on Wednesday.

"We can call this event an evening of friendship between the Kazakh and Greek cultures. I think our cultures are linked with sincerity of feelings, rich traditions and history", Kazakh Vice Minister of Culture and Information Askar Buribayev noted.

The Greek diplomat said the two aspects - political and cultural - were combined in that cultural event. The political aspect is that Kazakhstan and Greece have harmonious cooperation in the format of the OSCE. As is known in the beginning of December Athens will hold a sitting of the Ministerial Council on OSCE chairmanship transfer from Greece to Kazakhstan.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan together with the embassy of Greece.
