Conference dated to 550th anniversary of Kazakh khanate held in N Kazakhstan

PETROPAVLOVSK. KAZINFORM - The regional scientific and practical conference themed "The Kazakh khanate as the fundamentals of statehood of the Kazakhs" dedicated to the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh khanate was held in Petropavlovsk on February 19.

The conference took place at the Kozybayev North Kazakhstan State University. It brought together teaching staff, public figures and students. "At today's conference we will have a look at new historical documents. We will reveal the role of Ablai khan in the history of the Kazakh khanate in the 18th century. We will talk about his domestic and foreign policy, trade relations with the Russian Empire," director of the State Archive of North Kazakhstan region Saule Malikova said at the event.
