Congresses of world and traditional religions allows for wide exchange of views, Chinese Ambassador

ASTANA. May 15. KAZINFORM Today head of the Senate committee for international affairs, defense and security Ikram Adyrbekov met with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of China to Kazakhstan Zhou Li, the Senate's press service said.

The parties debated further strengthening of Sino-Kazakh bilateral relations, including interparliamentary cooperation.

According to Adyrbekov, Kazakhstan and China enjoy traditionally friendly and good neighborly relations. The parties noted great contribution of Presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev and Hu Jintao to strengthening mutual benefit strategic cooperation.

Adyrbekov thanked China for active support of the initiative of President Nursultan Nazarbayev on promotion of stability and security in the world and expressed confidence that Chinese clergy would participate in the IV Congress of the Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions.                                                                                                 

Besides, the sides focused on pressing issues of the international agenda.
