Construction of terminal in Chinese sea port saves time and funds of Kazakhstan

ALMATY. July 9. KAZINFORM - Today in Almaty there has been held a meeting between the management of the Kazakh Academy of Transport and Communications (KazATC) M. Tynyshpaev and the administration of the sea port and the city of Lianyungang, China.

In the framework of establishing transport and communication complex of the country of "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" JSC plans to build a terminal at the Chinese port of Lianyungang. On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2014 there must be completion of preparing a feasibility study (FS) to build a terminal in the port.

Today, at the meeting of a working group to study issues of rent and construction of the terminal in the port of Lianyungang the Kazakh and Chinese sides discussed a large-scale map of the area and the seaport, reviewed the list of government agencies involved in the coordination of feasibility studies and conducting examinations. Also discussed were the legal and regulatory framework governing multimodal transport regulations governing the production, technology, organizational and contractual relations between all the parties.

"Having our own terminal facilities, we can form the direct transport routes into and transit through Kazakhstan. Construction of the terminal will save time of delivery to the customer and the financial means", said the Rector of KazATC, Doctor of technical sciences, Professor Bakytzhan Kuanyshev.
