Consulate General of Russia opens in Ust-Kamenogorsk
"I am confident that the Consulate General of the Russian Federation will operate for the development of the East Kazakhstan and Pavlodar region, for the benefit of people living here and, of course, for strengthening Russian-Kazakh relations", said Russian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Mikhail Bocharnikov. According to his words, the Russian diplomatic mission opened following the signing of the Treaty establishing the Eurasian Economic Union between Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus. He congratulated the staff of the Consulate General headed by Consul General Sergey Annenkov and wished them success in their work. Akim of East Kazakhstan region Berdybek Saparbayev noted that the peoples of Russia and Kazakhstan should always support and assist each other.
