Contest on Russian proficiency held in Astana

ASTANA. February 21. KAZINFORM The Committee on Languages of the Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Information together with ?Russian Community of Kazakhstan? Public Association is holding a republican contest of proficiency in the Russian language; Kazinform refers to the press service of the Ministry.

Young people at the age of 14-20 are invited to take part in the contest. According to the organizers, the contest consists of two stages, the first regional stage will be held on February 20 ? May 4, the second republican stage will be held in May. Students of Russian schools and universities and majoring in ?Russian Philology? will not be allowed to take part in the competition.
