Contracting organizations on West Europe - West China project in South Kazakhstan defined

ASTANA. November 12. KAZINFORM The akimat of South Kazakhstan region held session on the issues of preparation to construction works of "West Europe - West China" project in the region. Representatives of the Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communications, regional akimat, heads of contracting organizations and consulting companies over the construction process, the press service of the Ministry reports.

The construction works in South Kazakhstan region will be conducted on 245 km of the road. The existing road will be reconstructed into a road of I technical category with four lanes.

T date the competitive procedures on contracting organizations selection were accomplished. He applications of "Azerkpu" JSC (Azerbaijan), "Dena Rahsaz Construction Co." (Iran), "Copri/Seiser" (Kuwait, Kazakhstan), "POSCO Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd" (Korea), "Sinohydro Corporation Limited" (China), "Kukdong Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd" (Korea) and "Azerkorpu/Tepe" (Azerbaijan/Turkey) were found to comply with the requirements of the international financial institutions financing this project.
