Contracts totaling USD 2 bln signed within President's visit to France

PARIS. October 27. KAZINFORM /Dimash Syzdykov/ Agreements to the amount of USD 2 bln were signed during the visit of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to France. The Kazakh President has made it public upon the results of the meeting with President of France Nicolas Sarkozy today.

As the Head of the State noted, important contracts regarding uranium enrichment, nuclear fuel production and assembling of electric locomotives in Kazakhstan were signed.

Joint communiqué between Nursultan Nazarbayev and Nicolas Sarkozy was signed during the visit as well. Besides, cooperation agreement in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy was singed between the Governments of the two states.

Kazakh Minister of Defense Adilbek Dzhaksybekov and President of EADS Company Louis Gallois signed memo on mutual understanding and interaction in production, supplies and maintenance works of EC145 helicopters.

"Kazatomprom" National Company and AREVA Company signed agreement on procedure of realization of joint activities in the field of fuel assemblies production.
