Coop between customs services of Kazakhstan and USA discussed in Astana

ASTANA. January 28. KAZINFORM Bilateral meeting of Chairman of the Customs Control Committee of the Kazakh Ministry of Finance Kozy-Korpesh Karbuzov with Deputy Commissioner on international affairs of the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection of the US Department of Homeland Security Charles Stallworth II was held Tuesday in Astana at the invitation of the Customs Control Committee, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Committee.

Heads of structural departments of the Committee took part in the meeting. Issues of cooperation in a range of directions were discussed at the meeting. Special attention was paid to the issues, tasks and aims of security provision at the boundary. The Chairman of the Committee informed of the activity of the customs authorities of Kazakhstan on introduction of integrated control. It was noted that by the decision of the Kazakh Government the customs authorities were defined as coordinators of the activity of inspection bodies in the control over border checkpoints of Kazakhstan. Besides, the issues of strengthening and further development of cooperation between the customs services of both states were discussed.
