Coordinated international response - most effective way to counter global crisis : UN Deputy Sec Gen

ASTANA. March 11. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ UN Deputy Secretary General, Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Europe Jan Kubis delivered a speech at the II Economic Forum "Economic Security of Eurasia in the Global Risks" in Astana.

J.Kubis noted that the most effective way to counter the global crisis, which affects the entire global economy is a coordinated international response. "The crisis creates the need for immediate action and taken measures can become an opportunity for the global community, especially when it solves long-term issues. An example of such international coordinated political actions can be the activities on combating climate change, development of the regional infrastructure or acceleration of the economic diversification of the less developed regions of the world. Coordinated international political activities, aimed at solving of such difficult tasks, can have a positive economic effect for all interested members and reassure confidence in a short period of time", J.Kubis said.
