Crime in Kyrgyzstan decreased by 7% in 2023

Crime in Kyrgyzstan decreased by 7% on the results of 2023. Last year, 41,961 crimes were registered against 45,096 in 2022, Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic Kurmankul Zulushev told at a press conference, Kabar reports. 

According to data of the prosecutor general, 4,968 of them fall into the categories of grave and especially grave crimes.

“Today, 65% of registered crimes have already been solved,” he said.

The prosecutor general also noted that the investigative authorities completed the investigation of 28,289 criminal cases, 9,603 criminal cases were sent for judicial consideration, 18,685 criminal cases were terminated.
