Crucial business communities of Kazakhstan and Sri Lanka to tune up ties, Mahinda Rajapaksa

Nursultan Nazarbayev noted, the state visit of President Mahinda Rajapaksa to Kazakhstan is of great importance, the President's press service said.
"We regard this visit paid in the year of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations as broadening of political, economic ties between the two countries. We enjoy good relations of confidence and mutual understanding. Kazakhstan hails the end of the long-standing conflict in Sri Lanka. Being one of the most dynamic economies of South Asia, Sri Lanka ranks the first in terms of GDP per capita in the region. We are glad to know that your country has successfully overcome the consequences of the world financial crisis," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
In his turn, President Mahinda Rajapaksa expressed appreciation for the opportunity to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan. "We have a great potential for the development of trade and economic relations, growth of foreign investments, in particular, tourist industry." Besides, he told about arrangements to sign soon a series of bilateral agreements to open air service between the two countries, facilitate visa regime.
Mahinda Rajapaksa invited Nursultan Nazarbayev to pay his first state visit to Sri Lanka.
Following the results of the negotiations of the Heads of State the governments signed an agreement on tourism cooperation.
