Crucial to promote spirit of cooperation - President of Romania

ASTANA. December 1. KAZINFORM /Maria Peshkova/ President of Romania Traian Basescu has started his speech at the OSCE Summit in Astana on December 1 with the expression of gratitude to the President and Government of Kazakhstan for the organization of the summit that reassembles all participating countries.

He emphasized that the summit in Astana focused on reinforcing trust. "We should build a community of democracy, security and peace. We share a view of those who believe that what we need is better cooperation", he said.

According to President Basescu, it is important to promote dialog and the spirit of cooperation in the OSCE space in order to ensure appropriate response to international challenges .

"It is needed to adopt a comprehensive multidimensional approach to conflicts", he added.
