CSTO experts to hold consultations on light small arms and portable air defense systems
"The purpose of the consultations is exchange of information on the issues of light small arms and portable air defense systems as well as coordination of the CSTO member countries' positions on this problem during its discussion at various international forums. Solution of the problem of illegal proliferation of the small arms and portable air defense systems is of paramount importance for strengthening trust and security", Deputy Secretary General of the CSTO Ara Badalyan said.
The event is organized in accordance with the Plan of consultations of the CSTO countries on foreign policy, security and defense for H2 2009-H1 2010. Experts of the Foreign offices and interested ministries and departments of the CSTO member countries will gather for the consultations.
