CSTO Secretariat and ICRC delegations in Russia, Armenia and Uzbekistan signed Protocol of Intentions

MOSCOW.  November 17. KAZINFORM /Arnur Rakhymbekov/ Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and delegations of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Moscow, Yerevan and Tashkent have signed a Protocol of Intentions today.

In accordance with the document, the parties express intention to promote activation of cooperation among the CSTO Secretariat, its member countries and the ICRC.

The CSTO Secretariat and ICRC delegations in Russia, Armenia and Uzbekistan also agreed on promotion of cooperation in rendering aid to the persons who suffered in armed conflicts, as a result of violence and other emergencies of humanitarian character.

"The Collective Security Treaty Organization hopes for fruitful cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross in a wide range of projects, in particular, in countering illegal migration, prevention and liquidation of the consequences of emergencies, and activation of anti-drug activity", Secretary General of the CSTO Nikolay Bordyuzha noted.
